1. Install CH340 Driver

The CH340 is a USB-to-serial converter chip. It is extremely useful for checking system boot logs and functional test results during development and debugging, especially when no graphical user interface (GUI) is available. The Compact3588S uses a USB-C connector, which is routed to a CH340 USB-to-serial converter, to provide a debug serial port (UART).

❶ Connect the Compact3588S and PC with a USB-C cable.

❷ Unzip CH343SER.ZIP on Windows.

❸ Click SETUP.EXE to install.

Now the device will be listed under Device Manager -> Ports with unique serial port assigned.
